BAFTA 2017

La misma noche del domingo 12 de Febrero al otro lado del mundo tuvieron lugar los BAFTA. Claro antecesor de los Oscar (26 de Febrero), los British Academy of Film and Television Arts, dejan más claras y con menos dudas las quinielas que vaticinan los ganadores de la gran noche del cine.

Una sencilla y a lo old school evento, en el que la sociedad británica saco a relucir sus mejores galas. Dando a demostrar que la industria british sigue estando a la altura de la hollywoodiense tanto en talento como en estilo. Como muestra de ello las particulares categorías que honran al cine anglosajón.

Siempre ha habido similitudes y diferencias entre la cultura americana y británica, ejemplo de ello es el respeto e importancia que en UK le dan a la corona. De acuerdo con esto, los Duques de Cambridge no podían perderse un acto de estas dimensiones y acudieron haciendo honra del talento que su amado país desborda.

Considerada como una de las red carpet más glamourosas de la temporada de premios, no han faltado outfits para todos los gustos, algunos más arriesgados, otros más tradicionales pero todos con esa gracia y je ne sais quoi que caracteriza a los británicos. Como en las anteriores galas cinematográficas, La La Land se llevó la palma con 5 estatuillas para aumentar su colección, entre las que destacaron: mejor película, director y actriz. También destacables fueron los reconocimientos tanto a Lion como a Manchester frente al mar, iguales favoritos en la carrera hacia a los Oscar.

Por mi parte esto ha sido todo por hoy, os dejo por esta semana. En la que estoy disfrutando de unos días en una de mis ciudades favoritas del mundo, Madrid 🙂

The same night of Sunday, February 12, in the other side of the world took place the BAFTA. Clear Oscar predecessors (February 26), the British Academy of Film and Television Arts, leave clearer and without doubts the pointers that predict the winners of the big night of cinema.

A simple and old school event, in which the British society sheds in all their finery. Giving to prove that the British industry continues to live up to Hollywood in both talent and style. As shown by the particular categories that honor the Anglo-Saxon cinema.

There have always been similarities and differences between the American and British culture, example of it is the respect and importance that in the UK they give to the crown. Accordingly, the Dukes of Cambridge could not miss an act of this size and came to honor the talent that their beloved country overflows.

Regarded as one of the most glamorous red carpet of the awards season, there have been no lack of outfits for all tastes, some more risky, others more traditional but all with that grace and je ne sais quoi that characterizes the British. For this reason, here I leave you my selection of the best dresses of the night in which the British culture came back to shine with its own light.

As in the previous films awards, La Land took the palm with 5 statuettes to increase its collection, among which they emphasized: best film, director and actress. Also noteworthy were the awards both Lion and Manchester by the sea, equal favorites in the race to the Oscars.
