GRAMMYS 2017

El Staples Center volvió a sonar al ritmo de la mejor música el pasado 12 de Febrero. Otro año más la celebración de los Grammys dejó escenas para el recuerdo, desde la pequeña Blue Ivy, pasando por su madre vestida de Diosa de la fecundidad cómo algunos twitteros la bautizaron a los incontables halagos de Adele para Beyoncé.

Antes de la gala se decía de elegir entre Team Adele o Team Beyoncé, ya que ambas eran las grandes favoritas para arrasar en la gala, pero ambas demostraron a todo el mundo que cuando gana una no pierde la otra, si no que se hacen más fuertes la una a la otra. Como muestra el discurso de Adele al recibir el Grammy por mejor Álbum del año:

«Como podéis ver, se necesita un ejército para hacerme fuerte y estoy dispuesta a hacerlo de nuevo. Os lo agradezco a todos desde el fondo de mi corazón.

Hace cinco años, la última vez que estuve aquí , estaba tan… estaba embarazada y no lo sabía. Y fui premiada poco después, me enteré poco después, de la que fue la mayor bendición de mi vida. Y en mi embarazo, convirtiéndome en madre, perdí mucho de mí misma. Luché y todavía lucho siendo mamá. Es muy difícil. Pero esta noche cierro este círculo.

Pero no puedo aceptar este premio, y estoy muy humildemente agradecida pero mi vida es Beyoncé, y el álbum para mí, el álbum ‘Lemonade’ fue tan monumental y tan bien pensado. Y tan bella y conmovedora y todos tenemos que ver otro lado de ti que no siempre nos dejan ver, y lo apreciamos. Y todos los artistas te adoramos. Eres nuestra luz. Y la forma en que tú haces que me sienta a mí y a mis amigos, la forma en que haces sentir a mis amigos negros es poderosa, y tú los haces resistir por sí mismos. Te amo. Siempre lo he hecho y siempre lo haré.

La academia, te amo, mi manager, mi marido y mi hijo. Eres la única razón por la que lo hago. Muchas gracias. Muchas gracias a todos».

Así mismo la gala también estuvo llena de homenajes a los grandes de la música que se fueron en 2016. Por un lado, de la mano de las actuaciones de Bruno Mars en la piel de Prince o Adele como George Michael. Y, por otro lado, la valoración póstuma al último trabajo de David Bowie (Blackstar), el cual consiguió 4 estatuillas, entre ellas mejor álbum música alternativa o mejor canción rock. Sin olvidarnos del outfit de Blue Ivy (hija de Beyoncé y Jay Z) toda una oda al mencionado Prince!

Al igual que en las últimas ceremonias de premios, el escenario se convirtió en un altar reivindicativo de la situación política actual en los diferentes discursos de los galardonados, dejando como tónica que en la música tampoco se van a callar como han hecho sus compañeros de la industria del cine.

En cuanto a la alfombra roja, como sabéis una de mis debilidades o si no echarles un vistazo a SAG Awards 2017, Golden Globes 2017, Critics Choice Awards 2016, (British) Fashion Awards 2016 o American Music Awards 2016 y descubrirlo por vosotros mismos 😉

Aunque esta alfombra no ha sido de mis favoritas, aquí os dejo algunos looks que creo que merece la pena mencionar!

Y bueno ha llegado el turno de los ganadores, aquellos que se van con una sonrisa de oreja a oreja a la afterparty. Sin duda alguna la GANADORA de la noche fue Adele con sus 5 premios, entre ellos: Grabación del año, canción del año y álbum del año; seguida de David Bowie como se ha mencionado y Chance The Rapper con 3 galardones fue la revelación de la noche, entre otros muchos galardonados.

Lo último, como buena noche musical, hubo varias actuaciones que quedarán grabadas en la memoria de todos. Estoy hablando nada más y nada menos que de la embarazadísima Beyoncé o del nuevo single de Katy Perry.

The Staples Center returned to sound to the beat of the best music last February 12^th. Another year the celebration of the Grammys left scenes for the memory, from the little Blue Ivy, passing by its mother dressed as a Goddess of the fecundity how some tweets baptized her to the countless flatteries of Adele for Beyoncé.

Before the gala was said to choose between Team Adele or Team Beyoncé, since both were the great favorites to sweep the gala but both proved to everyone that when one of them win it does not mean that the loose, but they do get stronger the one to the other. As shown by Adele‘s speech when she received the Grammy for Best Album of the Year:

Also the gala was also full of tributes to the greats of the music that left in 2016. On the one hand, the performances of Bruno Mars in the skin of Prince or Adele like George Michael. On the other hand, the posthumous valuation of the last work of David Bowie (Blackstar), which obtained 4 statues, among them, better alternative music album or better rock song. Not forgetting the outfit of Blue Ivy (daughter of Beyoncé and Jay Z) an ode to the aforementioned Prince!

As in the last awards ceremonies, the stage became an altar protesting the current political situation in the different speeches of the winners, leaving as a tonic that in music they will not be aside as their comrades of the Cinema industry.

As for the red carpet, you know that is one of my weaknesses or if you do not take a look at SAG Awards 2017, Golden Globes 2017, Critics Choice Awards 2016, (British) Fashion Awards 2016 or American Music Awards 2016 and discover it for yourselves 😉

Although this one has not been my favorite, up there are some looks that I think are worth mentioning!

And well it has come the turn of the winners, those who leave with a tremendous smile to the after party. Without a doubt the WINNER of the night was Adele with her 5 awards, among them: Recording of the year, song of the year and album of the year; Followed by David Bowie as mentioned or Chance the Rapper with 3 awards was the revelation of the night, among many other winners.

The last, as a good musical night, there were several performances that will be recorded in everyone’s memory. I’m talking about nothing more and nothing less than the very pregnant Beyoncé or Katy Perry’s new single.
